Three ways to bring your puppy home

Collection in Stockholm

Collect your puppy from our home in Stockholm by appointment. We go through its routines, food and documents with you.

Flight nanny in the cabin

An experienced escort travels with your puppy in the aircraft cabin to an international airport near you. Cost depends on destination and is quoted with your offer.

By car within Scandinavia

Within Scandinavia we can drive your puppy to your door. Cost depends on destination and is quoted with your offer.

From application to homecoming

  1. Apply

Tell us about your home and where you live, so we can look at the travel rules for your country early.

  2. Video call

We meet on a video call, where you see the puppy and its parents live. Visits are by appointment once your application has been approved.

  3. Offer from the waitlist

When a puppy matches your application, you receive an offer from the waitlist, and the agreement is sent to you by email.

  4. Homecoming

Your puppy is collected or travels when it is old enough and every requirement for your destination is met.

Travel documents

Every puppy that travels has a microchip, an EU pet passport and the vaccinations its destination requires. Countries outside the EU often also ask for a health certificate signed by an official veterinarian, and some require an import permit. We prepare the paperwork with you.

Rules by destination

A summary of what usually applies. Rules change, so treat this as a guide rather than the final word.

EU / EEA

Earliest travel: From about 15 weeks of age

Usually required

  • Microchip
  • Rabies vaccination, given from 12 weeks of age
  • A 21-day wait after the vaccination
  • EU pet passport

A puppy that changes owner usually travels as a commercial movement, which also needs an official health certificate. A few countries add their own rules, such as tapeworm treatment.

Usually required

  • Microchip

  • Animal health certificate for commercial import
  • Tapeworm treatment by a vet shortly before arrival

A puppy sold to the UK travels under commercial import rules, which are stricter than pet travel rules.

United States

Earliest travel: From 6 months of age

Usually required

  • Minimum age of 6 months on arrival

  • CDC Dog Import Form receipt
  • Rabies vaccination, as many states and airlines ask for it

Current CDC rules require dogs entering the United States to be at least 6 months old, so a puppy for the US stays with us longer before it travels.

Questions about travel

How old is a puppy when it travels abroad?

Within the EU and EEA usually from about 15 weeks, after the rabies vaccination and waiting period. Current CDC rules require dogs entering the United States to be at least 6 months old. Other countries differ.

Can I collect my puppy in person?

Yes. Collection is from our home in Stockholm, by appointment once your application has been approved.

Which countries do you deliver to?

Sweden and the rest of Scandinavia, the EU and EEA, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and the Gulf states. For other countries, ask us and we will look at the rules.

What does a flight nanny cost?

Cost depends on destination and is quoted with your offer.

What if the flight is cancelled?

Your puppy stays with us, with its usual routines, until a new flight is booked. We keep you updated throughout.

What if the puppy is unwell before it travels?

We keep the puppy with us until it is fit to travel. Its health always comes before the travel date.

What if the rules for my country change?

We follow the rules that apply on the day of travel. If they change, we tell you straight away and plan the journey around the new requirements.

Why does my puppy fly in the cabin?

French Bulldogs are a flat-faced breed, and many airlines do not accept them in the hold. Travelling in the cabin with an escort is calmer and safer.
