About the French Bulldog

The French Bulldog is an affectionate, even-tempered companion that adapts well to apartment and family life. It needs moderate exercise and does best in a temperate climate. We select our breeding dogs for moderate features, so that colour never comes at the cost of breathing or mobility.

Colour and the breed standard

The FCI breed standard for the French Bulldog recognises fawn, brindle and pied. Colours such as blue, lilac, isabella, chocolate and merle, and the long-haired fluffy coat, fall outside the standard, and some have been linked to health concerns, such as colour dilution alopecia in dilute dogs or deafness in double merles. We are open about this. It is why we never pair two merle dogs, why every parent’s full results are published, and why health and temperament decide each pairing, never colour alone.

Questions about the French Bulldog

How much does a French Bulldog puppy cost?

Our French Bulldog puppies cost €6,500 – €9,000, depending on colour and coat. Each puppy’s fixed price is shown on its own page.

Are your French Bulldogs registered with SKK or FCI?

No. The FCI breed standard, which the Swedish Kennel Club (SKK) follows, recognises fawn, brindle and pied, so dogs in colours such as blue, lilac or merle cannot be registered there on the same terms. Our puppies receive a pedigree from the registry where their parents are registered.

How does the process work?

You apply. We meet on a video call, where you see the puppy and its parents live. When a puppy from the waitlist is offered to you, we send the contract and its terms by email. Then your puppy comes home, collected in Stockholm or delivered.

Can I visit you?

Visits to our home in Stockholm are by appointment once your application has been approved. Before any reservation we always meet on a video call, where you see the puppy and its parents live.

Can French Bulldogs breathe normally?

Breathing is the breed’s biggest health issue. BOAS (brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome) is graded from 0 to 3 in a functional test. We breed for moderate features with open nostrils, and every parent’s BOAS grade is published. No breeder can promise a dog will never have breathing problems, so keep your dog lean and avoid heat and hard exercise in warm weather.

How long is the waiting time?

It depends on the colour, coat and sex you hope for, and on the season. Most puppies are placed before they are born, and the rarest colours usually have the longest wait. When you apply, we tell you honestly where you would be on the list.

Which health tests do the parents have?

Both parents are tested for: CMR1, DM, HUU, JHC, CDDY, BOAS, Colour. You receive the results before you reserve.

Do you deliver French Bulldog puppies abroad?

Yes. You can collect in Stockholm, or we deliver by car within Scandinavia or with a flight nanny, and prepare the documents your country requires.
